2020 Garden Visitor Guidelines

Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Garden ~ Asticou Azalea Garden ~ Thuya Garden

The Preserve is opening our gardens after thoughtful and careful planning. We may have to adjust our open schedule as public health information develops and changes. Please check back here for updates. Our top priority is to protect the health and safety of our visitors and staff.

We ask all visitors to please observe the following guidelines at all the gardens:

  • If you are traveling to Maine from a non-exempt state, you must either self-quarantine for 14 days or receive a negative COVID test. Exempt states are New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.

  • Refrain from visiting if you feel sick or are under quarantine.

  • Always remain at least six feet apart from other visitors and garden staff.

  • Step carefully off the garden path to let others pass. Step only on grass, not in flower beds or on plants.

  • Children must always remain with their parents.

  • Masks are encouraged in the gardens.

  • Rather than approach garden staff with questions, email any plant questions to gardens@gardenpreserve.org

Thank you for following these guidelines. Have a wonderful visit to our gardens.
