2019 Lands and Trails Volunteer Crew
We still have some great projects lined up for our volunteer team. Come on down and share your appreciation for this unique natural environment and all that the Preserve’s lands and trails have to offer. It is the stewardship and hard work of the dedicated public that help create lasting memories and deeper connections to nature.
Our volunteer team meets every Wednesday from 8:45am to 11:30am. We typically meet at the main kiosk inside the gate at the main entrance on Route 3 in Seal Harbor. Parking is limited at the pond so please consider carpooling or using the upper parking lot.
All tools are provided by the Preserve but feel free to bring your own and we will check them out. We encourage volunteers to bring what they need for a few hours of working outdoors such as snacks, water bottles, closed-toe footwear, insect repellent, and layers. We work with volunteers of all ages and physical abilities. We ask that you come prepared for light to heavy physical work, have a sense of humor and flexibility to changing conditions, and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
Please contact Land Steward Ed Hawes at firstname.lastname@example.org or 207-650-4814 or the Land and Garden Preserve office at 207-276-3727 to RSVP and to get on the volunteer email list.
See you out on the trails!
