Land & Garden Preserve and Maine Coast Heritage Trust Permanently Protect 168 Acres in Seal Harbor, Maine

 
The Land & Garden Preserve, in partnership with Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT), has furthered the conservation of 168 acres of forest, cliffs, and wetlands in the Hunters Cliffs, Hunters Beach, and Day Mountain area of Seal Harbor.

Eileen Rockefeller Growald Commits $1 Million Gift to Land & Garden Preserve 

The Mount Desert Land & Garden Preserve is honored and excited to announce a transformational pledge of $1 million from longtime supporter and former board director, Eileen Rockefeller Growald. This extraordinary commitment reflects Eileen’s deep faith in the
future of the Preserve and her dedication to continuing her family’s legacy of stewardship on Mount Desert Island.

Land & Garden Preserve Welcomes New Board Members, Honors Departing Directors

​

The Mount Desert Land & Garden Preserve has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors: Kate Conner, Executive Director of Food Well Alliance; Pam Hatchfield, Head of Objects Conservation Emerita at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and Daphne W. Trotter, retired partner at McDermott Will & Emery specializing in environmental law.
