Thank you to all of you who took our visitor survey this past season. We received lots of wonderful compliments and helpful feedback. We will take all your suggestions into consideration as we plan.
About half the survey respondents were people who have been vacationing on MDI for years and were repeat visitors to Preserve lands and gardens. More than 30% were seasonal or year-round residents.
Why people visit: Peace and quiet was the number one answer.
What is appreciated: Brochures and signs are helpful, but people also like the interactions with our new garden greeters.
What visitors want more of: Parking and restrooms.
What about dogs? More than 60% of dog owners would continue to visit Little Long Pond if they were required to keep their dog on a leash.
