Managing hemlock woolly adelgid on Mount Desert Island

HWA is an invasive insect forest pest, which has devastated hemlock forests in the southern Appalachian region and has recently been confirmed in multiple hemlock stands on MDI. The webinar presenters are working together on a multi-pronged approach to mitigate the impact of HWA on land they manage and on private properties. Learn about HWA and its effects on the environment, what we are doing on MDI, and most importantly, what you can do about HWA on your property.

Meadow management at Little Long Pond with Tate Bushell
