Summer is the perfect season to immerse yourself in the captivating charm of the Preserve’s gardens. Whether you prefer the serenity of the Asticou Azalea Garden, the seclusion and botanical variety of Thuya Garden, or the artistry and imagination of the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Garden, you will be delighted. 

On display at Asticou in June and July:

  • Rhododendron viscosum Swamp Azalea

  • Rhododendron arborescens, Sweet Azalea

  • Rhododendron calendulaceum, Flame Azalea

  • Cornus ‘Nordine,’ Dogwood

  • Kalmia latifolia, Mountain Laurel

  • Lilium canadense, Canada Lily

  • Iris ensata, Japanese Iris

At Thuya, the summer months bring a host of spectacular blossoms including several varieties of  delphinium and lilium. Read about the lilium at Thuya
